Not in the Western District. Art Ellis Western District MSHA Manager, stood in a meeting room full of mining safety professionals and company representatives and stated quite loudly and plainly that any of his inspectors who weren't writing a citation every hour weren't doing their jobs!

He made it very clear to the room that his inspectors were expected to write citations and were rewarded for writing them.

I was there and so was Mr. ******.

So its no big secret in the western district... it has been shouted publicly by the district manager."

$afepro has not mentioned the name of the firm nor its Officers to protect them from retaliation!
